1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a file containing a small amount of information which is stored on your computer or mobile phone when you visit a website. This text file is saved by your web browser, subject to your preferences, in a special place on your device each time you use an online service.

 

A cookie file allows the sender to identify the device onto which it has been saved for as long as it is valid.

Cookies are saved for a period of 13 months.

2. How do we use cookies on our website?

c.2 Rejecting a video cookie

We use cookies to play videos on our website. This site function places cookies on your device in order to:

• optimise our video services
• personalise the adverts played before or after the video
• register information necessary to ensure a smooth viewing experience, for example image quality, buffering rates and internet speeds

c.3 Rejecting an analytics cookie

Analytics cookies are placed by Google.

It is important to remember, however, that it is these analytics cookies that allow us to measure and track our website traffic, the pages visited and interactions that take place there. Deactivating these cookies will prevent us from being able to collect any data about your visits to our site, and will therefore prevent us from suggesting editorial content that might have been adapted in light of that data.
